Daniel Torres loses his belt on the scale

The best Polish mixed martial arts promotion Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki returns for their final event of 2021, and the KSW 65 weigh-in was filled with drama.

Most notably, former featherweight champion Daniel Torres lost his belt ahead of his first title defense. Torres (12-4, 1 NC) topped the championship weight by one pound and was stripped of the title. His fight against Salahdine Parnassus will continue with only Parnassus (15-1-1) eligible to win the belt, and Torres will also give up 30% of his purse. In addition, preliminary fighters Hassan Shaaban and Bartosz Rewera failed to put on any weight. Shaaban was replaced by Piotr Olszynka, who will now face Patryk Likus, while Rewera was fined 30% of his purse.

The card is titled with a champion versus champion fight between middleweight title holder Mamed Khalidov and welterweight king Roberto Soldic. Both fighters have reached the middleweight limit as Soldic (19-3) seeks to become a champion in two weight divisions. Khalidov officially weighed 185 pounds, while Soldic was slightly below the limit at 184.75 pounds.
